Before initiating the transfer process, it’s essential to get in touch with The Sharp Shooter to inform them about your intention to transfer a firearm. Step 2: Gather Required Information
To facilitate the transfer process, we will need to gather some essential information, including:

- Details of the firearm you intend to transfer (make, model, serial number)

- Any pertinent documentation related to the firearm (purchase receipt, ownership documents)
Having this information readily available will streamline the transfer process and ensure everything moves smoothly.
Step 3: Arrange for Firearm Shipment
Once you’ve coordinated with The Sharp Shooter and gathered all the necessary information, you’ll need to arrange for the shipment of the firearm to their location. Ensure that you comply with all federal and state laws regarding the shipping of firearms to avoid any legal complications.
Step 4: Visit The Sharp Shooter for Background Check
Once the firearm has been delivered to our location, you will need to visit The Sharp Shooter to complete the transfer process. Below are the fees for the transfer:

During your visit, you will undergo the required background check as per The Sharp Shooter state law. Once the background check is completed, and all necessary paperwork is processed, the firearm will be transferred to you legally.
Step 5: Complete Transfer Paperwork
Before leaving The Sharp Shooter premises, ensure that you complete all necessary paperwork related to the firearm transfer. This may include filling out a transfer form, providing identification, and signing any required documents.
Step 6: Take Possession of the Firearm
Once all paperwork is completed and the background check has been approved, you will be able to take possession of the transferred firearm. If you are delayed on the background check for any reason, you will be notified once we have the approval and can schedule another day to pick up your firearm.
Firearm And NFA Transfer Process And Fees:
Do you have a transfer coming our way? Please fill out the form to let us know what kind of gun or NFA item we are expecting and where you purchased it from. If they do not already have a copy of our FFL License we will send one out within 24 Hours.
Please note that we receive anywhere from 10-40 packages a day containing firearms. Each firearm must be logged into our system before they can be picked up. Once the courier has delivered your transfer to us it may be up to 24 hours before it is ready for pickup.
Transfer Fees:
- Incoming non NFA transer: $35
- Incoming NFA Transfer: $100
- Outgoing FFL Transfer: $45 plus shipping
